Good and Bad

Good: I received good feedback from the "Groovy Guitars" pants buyer! They said the pants are so cute and they recommend them! Yay! Hopefully this leads to more sales. Here is a pair I just listed: Bad: I spent yesterday working on a pair of girl pants with a ruffle on the bottom instead of a cuff. It took a little while to remember how to do a ruffle. It actually looks cute, I'm just not happy. And, I used the last of my favorite apple fabric :( Cute, right? I will finish them later. They are just not sell worthy right now. The ruffle seems too heavy, like it would be uncomfortable. I am sure I will come back to this pair.... Coming soon: Vintage Feedsack baby pants! -*Miss Emma*

First Sale

I had my first Etsy sale yesterday! Of course, it was the "Groovy Guitars" pair that I love. The pants are in the mail. I truly hope that the buyer in NY enjoys them! Hopefully I have many more sales to come. Don't worry, I listed another pair of these cuties. (But I'm saving the rest of the fabric for personal use.) missemmaslife.etsy.com -*Miss Emma*

Open for Business!!

Last night I opened my Etsy shop! Now, go buy baby pants :) I am trying different backgrounds for the pictures. What do you think? Also, I am not sure the descriptions are descriptive enough.... Would you feel comfortable buying from me based on the description? Look at the pair I just listed: Adorable! I might actually like these more than the elephants! Opening shop!!

I'm busy working to get my Etsy shop open, hoping to have items listed this weekend. I still need an avatar and banner for the shop page. Oh yeah, and I need to finish a few more pairs of pants to sell. I'm focusing on pants for boys. There seems to be an abundance of handmade little girls outfits. Still loving the Urban Circus prints! I'll let you know when I am up and running! -*Miss Emma*

Christmas is over....

Another Christmas over....gone too fast. This year went particularly fast. I was sick with a stomach virus the whole week before Christmas. So, instead of enjoying the excitement I was laying on the couch. Well, naps and tv all day aren't that bad! So, I am really looking forward to this week off do get some stuff done. Like, sewing with my new machine! Nathan putting together my new sewing table: Finished table: Tomorrow we are taking down the Christmas tree and scooting the table in front of the window! Current projects: Elephant onesies CAS project: Peace banner Bibs....still needs finished! This adorable fabric is from Sew to Speak in Clintonville. I think I'm going back for more! One of the coolest Christmas presents I received: My own tags! Also, I don't think I shared these before: My business cards!  Oh, and here is a (blurry) picture of the pretty Sapphire necklace I got for Christmas!!! Off to do some sewing and cleaning! -*Miss Emma*

Catching up!

Wreath I made for our front door! Nathan and I went to Las Vegas for a weekend to see Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds in concert. It was our first time in Vegas. It was fun, but I'd rather be laying on a beach on vacation :) I won 5 dollars! At least, I came out ahead unlike Nathan! Not sure how to pronounce the name of this store.  View from our room at Planet Hollywood Concert outfit night 1 Concert outfit night 2 More updates coming soon! -*Miss Emma*

Decorating

Getting ready for Christmas around here! It's our first time decorating together and we had fun. First, we bought some shelves for our bare wall. They took a while to get put up, but they look great! Then, it was time to get out what little seasonal decorations we have. Also, I had to buy a few things :)  I was craving cupcakes yesterday....  Little Santa tree for the side table   New shelves and stockings! Nesting Christmas trees and a cute vintage looking snowman decoration! Annual picture with the 1988 mittens! Finished! With our new quilted tree skirt from Target! We had to settle for a artificial tree this year because I wanted to decorate early and we are heading to Vegas in 2 weeks. And, I don't want a live tree to die while we are gone. It's a little wonky, but thanks to Nathan's grandma for letting us use it!! Nathan said I did a good job decorating the tree. I guess it's because he wants me to do it every year! -*Miss Emma*
