It's a GIRL!

Nathan and I are excited to announce that we are expecting our first baby, a girl. She is due at the end of July! Although she was a surprise, we could not be more excited!! So, what does a girl do when she finds out she's having a baby girl? She goes shopping! Today's loot: Baby Gap: Crazy 8 (plus a few things not in the picture): My diaper bag that I ordered a few weeks ago from bodenusa.com: I'm thinking that this is going to be the inspiration fabric for the baby's room/stuff. I love the colors, and of course the elephants! I announced that it's a girl today to the CAS kids. They were so excited, they erupted in cheers. They loved the suckers I gave them!! From Party City: Ok, heading over to Etsy.com to shop!! -*Miss Emma*

Burp Cloths

A few weeks ago I went to Babies R Us and they had cloth diaper packs buy 1 get 1 50% off! I purchased 2 packs of Gerber organic cloth diapers. But, I am not using them as diapers. I am turning them into CUTE burp cloths. I did this last summer for a friend and my cousins babies. Actually, I was a little bit disappointed in the quality, they seem thinner and less dependable than the ones I bought last year. But, I'm using them anyway. Using fabric scraps and vintage Rick Rack definitely make them puke worthy. :) Nathan even said "why would you want a baby to throw up on those?" At least the baby will be puking in style!!  The owls are so cute! But, I am not liking having one side completely covered....  Of course, this is my favorite. I really like the coordinating fabric strips with Rick Rack!  I think the elephant one turned out really cute! I was worried about sewing on the elephant, but it wasn't that hard. (Not like sewing it on a tiny onsie.) I also love th

Quilt beginnings

Starting a new quilt. Some of you may be able to guess who it is for! I still need to cut out more fabric strips! I am very excited about this quilt. I haven't decided if I want to quilt it in pieces or all at once like I have done before. I am loving the staggered fabric strips. I have always wanted to make a quilt like this! Also, check out this blog: racheldenbow.blogspot.com My mom found her in a new magazine. Her blog is so cute. Partly because her kids are adorable! I love that she and her daughter dress in vintage clothes. Check it out!! -*Miss Emma*

Happy Belated Valentines Day!

Aside from forgetting to wish my mom "happy birthday," Valentines day was great. We had a party at CAS which was really fun. Here is one of the valentines we made: Candy Heart I Pod! They turned out so cute! (There is a box of candy hearts wrapped up in there.) This weekend I plan on doing some sewing since I didn't do any last weekend.....Hoping to get at least 2 more pairs of pants listed in the Etsy shop. Now, time for some inspiration....searching my favorite blogs! -*Miss Emma*
