Target Deal and Baby Pants

The main fabric caught my eye at Jo Ann's a few weeks ago. I knew I had to make Hazel a pair of pants out of it! I was amazed at how small the newborn size is.... I also made a pair for baby L, who turns 1 this week. Look at the comparison. L's seem huge next to the newborn pair. I am thinking about taking these pants to the hospital when Hazel is born to have her picture taken in them. I just love the bright fabrics, and they are girly too! My neighborhood Target recently expanded and added a fresh foods section. Nathan and I went Monday night to pick up a few things and found that they also expanded their baby section! It was so nice, they seemed to have tons of stuff and lots of it was on display. Here is Hazel's new $3.25 outfit....the clearance section rocks! I also couldn't resist this Boppy pillow cover! My next sewing project is making a pennant banner for Hazel's crib! But, I need to finish it soon so that we can use it as decoration at the baby shower

Earth Day Celebration

Every year at CAS we have a parent social. An event for the parents to come see what the kids do at CAS. They get to do activities together and we provide food! I was in charge of the food.....I went around town asking for donations. Only a few places said yes, and at the last minute Chipotle called to donate 50 burritos! Special thanks go out to the Clintonville Chipotle, Graceland Subway, La Chatelaine Worthington, P.K. O'Ryans, and Lennonheads Salon and Spa. I could not have provided such a great spread without you! Our theme this year was Earth Day. We made all of the decorations out of recycled materials. Our plates, forks, and cups were all compostable. We really tried to be environmentally friendly! Here is my food station. We set it up to look like a farmers market stand. My favorite part was the plastic bag flower/pompom garland! The other project I was in charge of was the "Eco Kitchen." The idea came from Family Fun magazine. We used boxes, colorful "d

Florida and Baby Stuff

Hello! I know it's been awhile since my last post. My computer has some nasty viruses and Nathan's was sent away to be fixed at the same time. Needless to say, we are happy that we have iphones so we weren't totally without the internet. Spring Break. Ft. Myers Florida Walking to get ice cream. .  The awesome screened in pool!  Going to dinner and put-putting. Brothers! Sea Urchin. Weird animal shells washed up all along Sanibel beach. Sanibel Lighthouse. Apparently I can't hold the camera straight! I promise the lighthouse is not about to fall over! These we also washed up all along the beach. Nobody that we asked knew what they were! The "Don't Fee the Gator" sign posted at the clubhouse is not a joke anymore. A gator has moved into my Grandma and Grandpa's park! We fed the carp, turtles, and gator everyday. Much to Nathan's disappointment there were no fights over the bread! Pictures from my Franklin Park Conservatory visit
