Hazel's Fan Club

My daughter already has a fan club! The kids at Care After are so excited. They ask me questions everyday about when she is coming. This past week the kids were tie dying a sheet for the parent social so I brought in a few things they could tie dye for Hazel. They were so excited, they all wanted to work on her things :) They turned out ok, but I was most excited about the tights, and they don't look very good. 2 of the older girls made me decorations to put in Hazel's room ;) I have a feeling that Hazel will be getting many more pictures and decorations in the months to come. One girl even said she will bring Hazel some of her old stuffed animals. So cute!! -*Miss Emma*

21 Weeks!

Hello! I am more than halfway done with this pregnancy! I barely even feel pregnant, and still don't really look it. I'm sure that will change soon! Care After project....Hazel. Can't wait for her arrival! More burp cloths, I have finished all 12! Before we knew we are having a girl, my grandma had bought us one pink blanket and one blue blanket. After we found out I knew I would keep the pink one, but what to do with the blue one? Add vintage pink trim of course!! I think it looks so cute now, and not so boyish. -*Miss Emma*

Quilt Top

Hazel's quilt top is done! Unfortunately, I'm not 100% satisfied with it. I don't know why, it just isn't as cute as I had hoped. Hopefully once I put the minky fabric on the back and the bright pink binding on I will be more satisfied. I'm sure Hazel will love it, and it was made with love! This weekend I will probably take a break from the quilt and work on more burp cloths with leftover quilt strips. March Madness has started! Every year I fill out a bracket and every year I pick Ohio State to win, hopefully I'm right this time. :) Go Bucks! -*Miss Emma*

sewing up a storm

I spent all day yesterday working on baby's quilt! I have one block totally done, and lots more strips cut and put together. I hope to get one more block done today! Here are the official "nursery" prints! Other than the quilt, I plan on making a pennant banner for above or around the crib and some clothes. We are not doing a traditional crib set....no bumpers. Just a sheet and quilt. Baby will be sleeping in our room for at least a few months, so we don't have a whole room to decorate. Look at this adorable skirt! J, who has 3 boys bought it for our girl....too cute to resist! The yellow is perfect. I plan on making a shirt to go with it. Wouldn't it look cute in newborn pictures? Back to sewing! -*Miss Emma*
