Class Wiki vs. Class Blog

Before taking this instructional technology class I had only ever heard of a Wiki page, but I had never made one. I have familiarity with blogging, but I have never been part of a class blog. So, here I am exploring these 2 technologies. I'm trying to see which one I think will be better for my future classroom. Well, after searching for classroom blogs I came up empty handed. I believe it's because they are password protected for student privacy. After reaching out to my professor she echoed this thought. She did say that she uses kidblog.org in her primary classroom. So, now I need your help. Do you use Wiki pages or classroom blogs,? Cast your vote in the comments: Class Wiki or Class Blog? I appreciate your insight! Teacher Blogs

When I was at Ohio State getting my bachelor's degree I started reading teachers' blogs. Well, I still read them! I want to share some of my favorites with you! First up is  Step into 2nd Grade . Even though Mrs. Lemons teaches second grade I still find lots of good information here. Also, her classroom decorations are ON POINT! :) She has a ton of followers, presents at conferences all over the country, and has a great  Teachers Pay Teachers  store. Her experience and knowledge of teaching is amazing and I expect to use a lot of her ideas in my future classroom! Next,  Erica's Ed-Ventures  is another primary teacher's blog but again she has so many good ideas. The way that she describes her classroom procedures and management techniques is very helpful. I also really enjoy the "teacher style" section of her site. Who doesn't love a good teacher outfit?!!!!! Right now I am observing in a middle school math classroom and my cooperating teacher,

I'M BAAAAAAACK!!!

Hello! Well, a lot has changed in the last 7 years since I stopped blogging. Nathan and I got married, we now have 2 children (Hazel and Lincoln), and have owned 3 houses! But, the main reason I am back to blogging is because I am back in school! It's time to finish what I started and obtain my teaching license. Right now I have a very busy semester that includes a month long observation in a middle school and 3 classes. In one of my classes I am learning ways to use technology in the classroom. So, stay tuned to hear all about my journey into the world of education!
